Colts training camp had been hit with injuries, but nowhere near as bad as the rest of the NFL. The Colts have a number of players with nagging injuries and a few that have been unable to practice.

The Ravens lost starting tight end Dennis Pitta after hip surgery. The Seahawks’ wide out Percy Harvin could miss the season with another hip injury. The 49ers lost WR Michael Crabtree to a torn achilles.

The Colts entered camp with a number of players already recovering.

Rookie guard Hugh Thornton has yet to practice and has his foot in a protective boot for most of the week, he’s out of it now and should participate soon. Pat Angerer is still on the PUP list as his foot continues to heal from surgery in January. Rookie safety Josh Boyett remains on the NFI list and its possible he won’t see the field this season.

RB Ahmad Bradshaw took reps this morning in walkthroughs but coach Chuck Pagano said it would be awhile before he saw significant time on the field.

Since camp started, the Colts have only seen a few players get hurt.

So far, Indianapolis has only lost NT Brandon McKinney for the season. He’ll spend another year on IR with the Colts after another knee injury.

Rookie center Khaled Holmes had to be carted off the field earlier in the week with what appeared to be an ankle sprain.

Newly acquired CB Greg Toler suffered a concussion, but Pagano wasn’t too worried about it. He’ll undergo the standard protocols and should be back on the field later this week.

All in all, the Colts have yet to lose a significant player. Hopefully it will stay that way.
