The Indianapolis Colts handled their business against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday. The Colts routed the Jags, 37-3.

The Colts improved to 3-1 this season, while the Jaguars are still winless.

Andrew Luck overcame a slow start to throw for 260 yards. Luck was 22-of-36 for two touchdowns and one interception off a tip. Luck also had 26 yards rushing on two carries.

Backup running back Donald Brown stole starter Trent Richardson’s thunder. Brown amassed 65 yards off just three carries. Richardson had 60 yards off 20 carries and a touchdown.

Reggie Wayne had five receptions for 100 yards and a touchdown. He became the 11th player to have over 13,000 yards receiving and 80 career touchdowns.

Coby Fleener did his best to shed fans perception of him. Fleener had five catches for 77 yards and a touchdown. Fleener has a bit of a history of dropped passes, but since Dwayne Allen was sent to injured reserve, Fleener has done an admirable job.

TY Hilton’s role with the team stills seems to be in flux. Hilton had five receptions for 48 yards. Hilton has the speed to be a deep threat across the middle, but is often used in bubble screens that rarely go anywhere.

The Colts defense played another tough game against the hapless Jaguars. Indy held them to 205 yards of offense. The Colts also managed to pick of Blaine Gabbert three times and sack him four more times. The Jags managed to convert just 2-of-11 third down attempts.

Robert Mathis led the Colts with three sacks, bringing his season total to 7.5. Today brings Mathis’ career total to 99 sacks.

Darius Butler’s interception of Gabbert was returned for a touchdown. The play came off tight coverage by Vontae Davis who tipped the ball up for Butler to snag.

Noted Colts killer Maurice Jones-Drew was held to just 23 yards on 13 carries.

Up next, the Colts return to Indianapolis to face the Seattle Seahawks.
