The Indianapolis Colts are coming off of their second big win in a row yesterday against the Tennessee Titans, but they got a bit of bad news this morning. According to a report from Charly Arnolt of Fox 59, Colts’ wide receiver Da’Rick Rogers was arrested last night for a DUI on the IUPUI campus. Loucheiz Purifoy was riding as his passenger, according to the report.

Rogers has shown quite a bit of talent since joining the Colts last season, but has yet to see the field this season. He is an extremely athletic player with great speed, but he needs to work on his route running before he’s ready to be a major threat at the NFL level. This type of news could put his career with the Colts in jeopardy, as they are known for being a very strict team when it comes to violating team rules and getting into off-the-field issues.

Purifoy is a rookie defensive back who made the team after battling with a lot of competition during training camp and preseason action. He has a lot of talent as well, and has extreme speed and athletic ability too. It is unclear exactly what his role was last night, but having his name listed alongside of Rogers won’t look too good either.

It will be interesting to find out what the Colts decide to do once more information becomes available, and whether or not they keep these two players around. Rogers has had a history of having off the field issues, which could come into play here. Expect to hear more about the futures of both Rogers and Purifoy in the near future.
