Colts fans can rest easy tonight knowing that Trent Richardson’s pulled hamstring is going to be okay.

Per Bleacher Report, it was reported earlier  Sunday evening that Richardson’s hamstring injury was not severe and that his spot in the lineup for Week 8 is not in question. The bulky wrap that fans saw around Richardson’s right leg on Sunday afternoon was simply a precautionary measure and he would have kept playing if the game was tighter than it was. It looked like it was just a bit of hyper-extension in the leg that caused Richardson’s injury.

In Richardson’s stead, reserve back Dan “Boom” Herron took the field and notched 37 rushing yards on five carries in replacement while the starting back took a breather. If the hamstring does flare up later in the week, causing Richardson to have to sit for any amount of significant time, the Colts are in good hands with Bradshaw starting and Herron handling the backup duties.

However, if the news holds true that Richardson is just fine, the Colts fans should have their leading rusher in time for the Steelers next Sunday afternoon
