Andrew Luck must take care of the football for the Indianapolis Colts against the New England Patriots.

The Indianapolis Colts are preparing to take on the New England Patriots this evening in the AFC Championship game, and they desperately need to play a nearly perfect game to head onto the Super Bowl.

Andrew Luck has quarterbacked the number one passing offense in the NFL, and the Colts need him to have a huge game against New England. Unfortunately, Luck has also had some issues with turnovers throughout his career as well.

That cannot be the case this week against the Patriots. Luck has thrown eight interceptions in just three games against the Patriots, and that is a number that cannot continue at the same pace. New England is going to do everything they can to put pressure on Luck this evening, but he has to make good decisions and make smart plays without forcing the issue.

Dan “Boom” Herron has been a huge find for the Colts, and he has helped establish a bit of a running game. Not only has he made a difference on the ground, he has also been a very consistent playmaker as a receiver out of the backfield.

Coby Fleener busted out with a huge seven-catch, 144-yard performance in the first meeting between these two teams. Luck is going to have to utilize him, as well as Dwayne Allen early and often throughout the course of the game. New England doesn’t have the personnel to match up with the tight ends that the Colts have, and that is going to be one of the main focuses of the Colts.

Indianapolis also has a very talented wide receiving corps, with T.Y. Hilton, Donte Moncrief, Reggie Wayne, and Hakeem Nicks being the four-headed monster.

It is going to be a very entertaining game between two teams that do not like each other, and the Colts are definitely viewed as a major underdog at this point in time. Luck is going to need to come through with a big game, but they cannot afford to turn the football over.
