George Hill’s 21 Points Lead Pacers Past Knicks

The Indiana Pacers defeated the New York Knicks Wednesday night by a wide margin of 105-82.

The game appeared rather easy to the Pacers, who scored a season-high 65 first-half points to jump out to a 24-point lead at the break.

27. 105. 100. Final. 82

Needless to say that the game was a goner from there on out, as New York never shortened the deficit to single-digits.

If there’s one thing that this Pacers team has shown us this season, is that they can still perform against anyone in the league, especially without their best player that is Paul George (whom is aiming for a mid-March return).

The Knicks, on the other hand, have not done so hot without their best player.

Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony decided to “shut it down” after the NBA All-Star break to have knee surgery, thus ending his season. It is needless to say that the Knicks have gone 2-5 thus far during his absence.

Through 60 games, the Knicks sit at a record of 12-48. A forgettable record as a part of what has been a forgettable season for the orange and blue as they prepare for their part in the lottery portion of the NBA Draft.

For Indiana, the win projects them to a record of 26-34.

They are currently tied with Miami and Charlotte for that eight spot in the Eastern Conference, a spot in which they desperately want.

Indiana’s schedule is rather favorable over the next two weeks, however, as they play the likes of the Knicks and Magic, among others currently under the category of the leagues cell-dwellers.

If George Hill continues to play like he did tonight, along with the possible return of Paul George, then there should be confidence that this team can make the playoffs for the fifth-straight season.

The Pacers take on the Chicago Bulls in a Central Division matchup in Indianapolis Friday night.
