While Indiana (30-37) managed to hang around with Chicago (41-28) for much of the game, the Bulls kept Indiana from ever opening up any kind of significant lead. After trailing by as many as 14 in the third quarter, Indiana managed to cut Chicago’s lead to just 4 points – but from that point on Chicago took over, eventually winning by 17.

The Pacers were lead in scoring by Solomon Hill with 13 points on 5 of 10 from the floor. Roy Hibbert chipped in with 12 points, while George Hill and C.J. Miles each contributed 10. David West’s struggles continued as he finished with just 6 points while shooting at a terrible 20% mark.

Unfortunately for Indiana, its bench was not able to rack up a whole lot of production like it has in recent games. Luis Scola and Rodney Stuckey each put up double-digits in the scoring column, but were inefficient from the floor, knocking down just 7 of 20 shot attempts.

After Wednesday night’s loss, the Pacers are once again on the outside looking in on the Eastern Conference Playoff picture. As the East stands now with 15 remaining on the their schedule, the Pacers sit just behind Boston for the 8th seed and one game back of the 7th-seeded Miami Heat.

The Pacers now look ahead to their next matchup against LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers (44-26) on Friday night in Quicken Loans arena in Cleveland, Ohio.
