Another March Madness game is in the books and the Bulldogs vs. Longhorns match-up did not disappoint.

The game was highly contested throughout, but a late second-half by the Bulldogs allowed Butler to seal the victory. Butler went nearly 11 combined minutes from the late first-half to the early second-half with a successful shot from the floor. After Roosevelt Jones came out of the game with a knee-related injury however, the Bulldogs rallied from that point to open up a lead they would not relinquish.

The Bulldogs were led in scoring by Kellen Dunham who finished with 20 points, many of which came during the game’s closing moments. Kameron Woods finished the game with nine rebounds and nine points, including some critical foul shots late in the second-half.

It is unclear what the status of Roosevelt Jones will be moving forward after his apparent knee injury. Jones is Butler’s second-leading scorer, so the potential loss of Jones could be a crippling blow as Butler will now face of against the (3)Fighting Irish of Notre Dame on Saturday.
