The Indiana Pacers are back in the Hoosier state tonight to take on the Orlando Magic in their third game of the NBA preseason, tipoff scheduled for 7 pm.

Right back at it, the Pacers are home tonight in an Eastern Conf. showdown with Victor Oladipo and the Orlando Magic.

Tonight is another night that should be fun for Pacers fan. The Orlando Magic took on the Miami Heat last night in Louisville, KY, and, as a result, Magic head coach Scott Skiles said he will likely rest the main starters leaving the Pacers to a potential feast.

Paul George would have likely matched up with Channing Frye at the PF spot, but all of that could change tonight with Skiles hinting at resting players. Regardless, the Pacers are in a good spot heading into tonight and if Orlando is sitting their main guys, Vogel may opt to play his for limited minutes as well.

Regardless, George started out the game against Detroit 7-7 with 20 points in the first quarter and if he even comes close to replicating that performance, fans in Indy will love it.

One player that we here at Ink on Indy would love to see a lot – Pacers rookie Joseph Young.

Young performed extremely well against the Pistons, scoring 18 points on 5-10 shooting in just over 20 minutes, and was a key part of the Pacers late game push to seal the win over their Central Division rivals.

He’s still improving his ball handling and it’s still plenty early, but Young could play a big part in Indiana’s second unit and fits their “small and fast” model just fine.

Tipoff for tonight’s game is set for 7 pm ET at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.
