With the draft and free agent processes out of the way, the Indianapolis Colts’ focus now shifts to training camp. They will need to settle a lot of position battles when the players report on July 26th.

The Colts have some tough decisions to make in order to trim their current 90-man roster down to the best 53-man roster possible. Position battles will play a huge role in how the Colts’ roster looks by Week 1 of the NFL regular season.

Obviously, the Colts have a lot of starting position settled heading into training. For example, there is no question Andrew Luck is the Colts’ starting quarterback.

However, the team has some situations where two players are battling for the same starting spot. The winners of those position battles will help them determine who their Week 1 starters are.

Meanwhile, the Colts lack depth behind their starters at other positions. Essentially, these spots are up for grabs. Numerous players will be battling one another for those final spots on the Colts’ final 53-man roster.

Here are the top five position battles to watch once the Colts’ training camp begins.
