Purdue won its first game of the season after defeating Indiana State in a defensive struggle. The Boilermakers (1-1) iced a 20-14 victory with an interception by Ricardo Allen with under 30 seconds left.
Both teams struggled on offense.
Rob Henry was 15-for-24 for 150 yards. Running back Akeem Hunt was huge for the Boilermakers. He led all rushers with 82 yards and opened up the game with a 98-yard kickoff return for a touchdown.
The Boilermakers will stay at home and welcome in No. 14 Notre Dame next weekend.
