Grade: A

Roy Hibbert means more to this team than anyone would care to admit. His nightly block parties and ability to alter opponents shots are what have made the Pacers defense so potent this season.

George wouldn’t be as good a defender without Hibbert backing him up. George has a tendency to take risks, and the only reason he can do that is because Big Roy is defending the paint and cleaning up any mistakes.

While he doesn’t dominate on offense every game, he will when the Pacers face the Heat. Few teams can match-up against Hibbert one-on-one.

The only flaw is that Hibbert seems to have about three moves on offense: left hook, right hook, and mid-range jumper. If he could develop his footwork and add some other moves (up-and-under, drop step, etc.) he would be an unstoppable force.

Regardless, Hibbert is the second most important player on the court. He could have zero points in a night, but he’ll still be unforgiving on defense and make an impact on the game.
