West gets a B+ simply because he isn’t “the” guy every night. He’s always consistent, and if we were going off recent games, it would certainly be an A. What he did against Denver is illegal in most states.
If there is a presence that will get this team to a championship, its West. He resigned with the team specifically to win a title. West will also be the reason Bynum won’t be a locker room problem. If Bynum cause problems, West will glare at him and he’ll turn to stone.
My only annoyance is West’s insistence on yelling “and-one” after every single shot, even the wide open one’s. Sorry, you aren’t getting fouled after every shot Mr. West. I could understand a young player doing that, but yelling “and-one” won’t automatically get you a foul shot.
On a very young team, he provides all of the veteran leadership. No one gets out of line on his watch and West sets the tone for this team on both ends of the court.
