Indiana Pacers Will Need To Change What?

That’s the question I have for anyone that comes out and says, get rid of George Hill.  Get rid of Roy Hibbert.  What are going to get back in place of those pieces?  Fire the head coach because we all know the coach goes first when it comes to change anyway.  But then again, what coach would you bring in to fix whatever’s gone wrong here in Indy?

To me, that’s just a question that keeps spinning around.  Everyone keeps coming back to it’s not this or that, so what is it.  Change will need to happen if say there’s an actual bad season. I understand this is a big collapse, and if the Pacers bow out of this first round, then we can talk. But still, the Pacers were able to get that top spot in the East like they wanted.  They finished first in a division for a second straight year.  They had the best home court record in the league.

Anymore, I think people like to write up as much negativity as they can.  If you can put a positive take on something, I’m more than happy to listen.  Even last night’s game was tied at halftime, and the Hawks put together a big third quarter, like the Pacers were known to do, to put the game away.  But most of the stats don’t seem to point in a dominating performance by the Hawks.

The Hawks shot 43% from the field, while the Pacers shot 42%.  The Pacers shot better from three point range.  For all the stat guys, that to me, wouldn’t spell domination.  The Pacers can still right this ship as I believe they will.  What other belief can I have about a team that has the talent to do it?

Now we can talk big changes like starting lineups and what not if the Pacers mess around and lose the second game of this series. But for now, I’m all in for what this team brings to the table.
