Trent Richardson 2.0 – Will the 2.0 be the new & improved Trent Richardson…or his yards per carry?
The Colts acquired Richardson from the Cleveland Browns after only two games into the 2013 NFL season and the results were concerning. Richardson rushed for 458 yards and three touchdowns averaging 2.9 yards a carry for the Colts, not numbers you expect to see from the 2012 3rd overall pick in the NFL Draft.
Richardson and the Colts hope a full camp leads to a breakout year for the former Alabama standout, or at least a repeat of his rookie season where he rushed for 950 yards and 11 touchdowns. Some believe the Colts will have TRich on a short leash upon the return of fellow running backs Vick Ballard and Ahmad Bradshaw. However both backs are coming off of season ending injuries and it’s safe to assume the Colts will bring both players along slowly, allowing Richardson every opportunity to win the starting role and live up to the 1st round expectations.
