Bjoern Ready – With Pro Bowl sack master Robert Mathis being suspended the first four games of the NFL season, attention may turn to 2nd year linebacker Bjoern Werner. After a disappointing rookie season, Werner could find opportunity knocking at his door.

On paper the 2013 1st round pick would seem to be the front runner to earn the starting nod in the absence of Mathis. I expect Werner to get plenty of chances opposite Erik Walden during camp, and how he responds could determine how his 2014 season plays out.
