3. Andrew Luck Dismantles the New England Patriots
This one isn’t as bold as the two previous, but it still deserves a huge look. If there has been any Achilles Heel to Andrew Luck’s development as a player, it’s the New England Patriots.
In two games against the guys in New England, Luck has played less than stellar. In both games against New England, he’s combined for a stat-line of 47/91 for 665 yards, four touchdowns and seven interceptions. That’s good for a sub-par QBR of 58.1 against New England.
And now, a Week 11 matchup at home against the Pats looms, and Andrew Luck has it circled on his calender. No game on the Colts’ schedule screams, “revenge,” like the matchup against New England, and Luck has the home crowd at Lucas Oil on his side (Luck is 14-3 at home, including playoffs). If Luck is going to show his critics that he can be elite in 2014, putting up 300 yards, four touchdowns and a turnover-free game against his biggest stigma certainly wouldn’t hurt.
