2. Josh McNary Locked Up a Roster Spot

The Colts absolutely love McNary and his work ethic, and they might have seen just enough last night against the Bengals to give him that roster spot. There is no doubt that he has the ability to play at the NFL level, but injuries have hampered him a bit so far in his career. If he’s able to stay healthy, he will be a very nice depth piece for the Colts, assuming they keep him on the roster.

He ended up recording seven total tackles last night against the Bengals, and appeared to be everywhere on the field. Not only is he a good individual player, he has great leadership skills and he knows how to team player as well. The Colts may not be able to keep him on the roster due to all of the talent that they have to choose between, but he made his case last night.

When everything is said and done, the Colts like him too much to allow him to walk after seeing him make a case like that. McNary is 26 years old which gives him plenty of time to improve. Don’t be surprised to see the Colts end up keeping him on the roster and giving him another year to prove himself to them.
