The Indiana Pacers have quite a bit to worry about this coming season, especially with their budding superstar Paul George out for the entire season due to a broken leg. George has other issues to worry about, as he has been getting a lot of legal heat from the pregnancy situation that he is in. It has been reported that George is the father of a five-month old girl from a woman that he met in Miami last year.

George received some very strong words from New York judge Matthew Cooper.

From the New York Post:

"“Even though it is all but certain that [George] is the father of the 5-month-old baby girl at the center of this case,” Justice Matthew Cooper writes, “he has gone to every length imaginable to avoid taking responsibility for his actions.”George has jumped through legal hoops to delay the case brought in May by his ex-stripper baby mama, Queens native Daniela Rajic."

Needless to say, those are some very harsh comments coming down from someone very in touch with the legal system. George has been fairly quiet as far as the pregnancy is concerned, but he has made public comments about wanting to step up and fulfill his duties as a father in the past. These comments came out of nowhere, and appear to be an extremely strong approach.

Obviously there have been stories of athletes who have avoided and neglected to take care of their kids. George doesn’t seem like that type of guy, but then again people didn’t expect him to get a stripper pregnant in Miami either. It will be interesting to see what more comes out about these comments and the story as a whole over the next few weeks.

Hopefully these comments end up being false, and Pacers fans can go back to trusting that George has good character through this situation.
