Indianapolis, IN – The Indiana Pacers fell to 1-3 on the young season after falling to the Milwaukee Bucks by a final score of 87-81, and simply didn’t look good all night long. There were a few bright spots throughout the game, but the turnover issues that they have had all season long so far are what ended up doing them in when everything was said and done. Milwaukee was able to make the winning plays down the stretch, and they were the more aggressive all-around team on the night.
Chris Copeland came through with yet another great offensive performance for the Pacers, scoring 19 points off the bench on 6-15 shooting overall and 4-9 from behind the three-point arc. He has done an excellent job all season long of shouldering the bulk of the scoring load for the Pacers, but they will need to find him more help if they want to begin winning basketball games.
Roy Hibbert also came through with a nice game for Indiana, scoring 16 points to go along with seven rebounds and five blocks. He has been much more active on the defensive end of the floor and it showed tonight. The Pacers desperately need him to continue playing the way that he has been throughout the rest of the season.
Solomon Hill was the only other double digit scorer for the Pacers on the night with 12 points, while Rodney Stuckey came off the bench to score nine points and dish out three assists. Lavoy Allen came through with a nice game as well, scoring eight points and grabbing 12 rebounds.
Brandon Knight scored 23 points on the night to lead the Bucks, while Giannis Antetokounpo scored 11 points off the bench. Both Jerryd Bayless and Jabari Parker were the other double figure scorers for Milwaukee with 10 points each.
Indiana will now look ahead to tomorrow night on the road against the Washington Wizards.
