It was a tale of two halves in Indianapolis as the Colts (7-4) took care of the AFC South Rival Jacksonville Jaguars (1-10) at home.

The first half was rough for both teams as both competitors combined for five touchdowns in the first thirty minutes. Neither offense could find footing in the first while Andrew Luck spent most of the first half on his back. The offensive line played dreadfully in the first, resulting in not much offensive production. However, Adam Vinatieri and the field goal unit were flawless, keeping it close for a halftime score of 6-3.

Then the jets turned on.

Trent Richardson enjoyed reasonable success in his first game without Ahmad Bradshaw and propelled the Colts to the first touchdown of the game with a 1-yard rush. After another Jaguars’ three-and-out, Andrew Luck found T.Y. Hilton on a beautiful 73-yard bomb for Luck’s only passing touchdown of the day. Jacksonville could get nothing else going in the second-half despite a long threatening drive. The Colts held Jacksonville to just three points while posting 23 of their own.

This game snaps Andrew Luck’s seven-game streak of 300+ yard games with just 253 in this game. He wasn’t able to get anything going in the first half, having to make up for his offensive line being unable to block anything that Jacksonville brought. Luck also frequented the running game, finding 49 yards on eight carries. He was running around too much in the first half before refinding his passing poise.

It was a great day rushing for the Indianapolis Colts, combining for a total 175 total rushing yards. Daniel Herron, making his first start of the game, paced the Colts with 65 yards on the ground while adding 31 yards catching out of the backfield. Trent Richardson added 42 yards on the ground along with his third-quarter score.

T.Y. Hilton had a huge day with most of it coming on his third-quarter 73-yard touchdown score. He finished with 122 yards on four receptions with a touchdown. Donte Moncrief grabbed four balls as well for 38 yards as well.

The Colts now look to rest up before next week’s home tilt against the Washington Redskins at home.
