Indianapolis, IN – The Indiana Pacers lost to the Los Angeles Clippers by a final score of 103-96 despite yet another spirited effort. That was their sixth straight loss, and they are now sitting at 7-15 on the season. It has been a rough year with all of the injuries, but they have played hard and were nearly able to pull out a win against one of the best teams in the league.

There weren’t many that expected to see the Pacers turn this game into a close one, but they were able to do just that. Los Angeles was able to make the big plays down the stretch though, and quite simply showed that they were the better team when it mattered. Frank Vogel is doing everything he can with the Pacers’ current roster, and it has become obvious that they need George Hill and Paul George back on the floor.

Unfortunately, their superstar George isn’t going to make his way back onto the floor until at least around the playoffs if he can even play at all this season.

C.J. Miles was a huge bright spot this evening despite the loss, scoring 30 points on 11-22 shooting and 7-14 from behind the three-point arc. That is exactly what the Pacers were hoping to see from him on a nightly basis when they signed him this past offseason, and he looked healthy tonight. Lavoy Allen also had a big game off of the bench, scoring 14 points and grabbing 13 rebounds to round out the double-double.

Luis Scola also recorded a double-double with 12 points and 14 rebounds, while both Rodney Stuckey and Chris Copeland scored 10 each to round out the double digit scorers for Indiana.

Jamal Crawford came off of the bench for the Clippers to lead them in scoring with 18 points, while both Chris Paul and Blake Griffin scored 17 points. Paul rounded out his double-double with 15 assists, while Griffin grabbed 10 rebounds himself. J.J. Redick continued his strong offensive play with 16 points, and DeAndre Jordan scored 12 points and grabbed 19 rebounds on the night. Matt Barnes scored 11 points to be the final double figure scorers for Los Angeles.

Indiana will now look ahead to their next game on Friday night on the road against the Toronto Raptors as they look to avoid losing their seventh straight game.
