Pacers Fall On The Road Vs. Rockets 110-98
By Evan Massey
The Indiana Pacers fell on the road against the Houston Rockets by a final score of 110-98.
Houston, TX – The Houston Rockets were able to drop the Indiana Pacers with a 110-98 victory, and it was the fifth straight loss for the Pacers. They are just 15-28 on the season, and are beginning to climb their way back towards the top of the draft lottery.
James Harden once against powered his team to victory, and is without a doubt one of the top MVP candidates this year. Not only has he been an electric scorer like usual, he has also been a facilitator for his team. Houston looks like a legitimate contender in the Western Conference, but they will only go as far as Harden can take them.

Indiana was led by C.J. Miles, who scored 23 points on the evening while shooting 9-18 from the floor. He also recorded six rebounds and five steals in the loss. Donald Sloan also played a big game for the Pacers, scoring 17 points to go along with six assists.
Solomon Hill registered yet another double figure game with 13 points, while Roy Hibbert scored 12 points in the game. Ian Mahinmi had a nice game off the bench as well with nine points and 14 rebounds.
Harden led the way for the Rockets in scoring with 45 points on 12-18 shooting and 14-15 from the foul line. The Pacers were unable to contain him, and he went off in the second half particularly.
Dwight Howard put up a nice double-double with 14 points and 17 rebounds, while Corey Brewer came off the bench to score 13. Donatas Motiejunas was the only other double digit scorer with 10 points on the night.
Obviously this is yet another tough loss for the Pacers, and they are beginning to fall back to the spot that many saw them being in at the beginning of the year. They have fought hard without superstar Paul George, but they have missed him in the close games that they have played. Next season they will be back to being legitimate playoff contenders, but for right now they look to be a lottery team.
