#23 Indiana Hoosiers Fall To Ohio State 82-70

The Indiana Hoosiers were unable to knock off the Ohio State Buckeyes on the road, and fell 82-70.
Columbus, OH – The #23 Indiana Hoosiers were hoping to continue their winning ways on the road against the Ohio State Buckeyes this afternoon, but unfortunately that did not end up happening for them.
It was a great start for the Hoosiers, but they simply couldn’t keep things going and Ohio State took control of the game and didn’t look back. Despite a lot of effort throughout the entire game, Ohio State proved to be the better team. Indiana simply couldn’t figure out a way to slow down freshman phenom D’Angelo Russell.

Yogi Ferrell once again had a huge game for the Hoosiers, scoring 26 points on 9-16 shooting. He once again was a deadly three-point shooter, knocking down six of his 11 attempts from beyond the arc. Unfortunately, Collin Hartman was the only other Hoosier that scored in double digits with 12 points on the afternoon.
Ohio State on the other hand had a very balanced offensive attack, with Russell leading the way scoring 22 points on the day. He also rounded out a double-double with 10 assists while chipping in six rebounds as well. Jae’Sean Tate scored 20 points as the number two option behind Russell, and did so on 9-10 shooting from the floor.
Marc Loving and Shannon Scott were the other two double figure scorers for the Buckeyes with 12 and 10 points respectively.
Indiana fell to 15-5 on the season following the loss, but will likely see their ranking remain about the same due to the win they had over the Maryland Terrapins this past week. They need to figure out how to beat good teams consistently if they want to rise up the rankings, but they are still a very dangerous team even following this loss.
Next up for the Hoosiers will be a game against the Purdue Boilermakers in West Lafayette at 9:00 p.m. Eastern on Wednesday night.
