Damjan Rudez had a career game this evening, scoring 18 points on 7-10 shooting and 4-7 from behind the three-point arc. He nailed three after three in the fourth quarter to keep the Pacers in the game and ahead of Orlando, and even had a driving dunk as well. David West led the team in scoring with 20 points, and looked a bit like the old dominant version of West.
George Hill once again came off of the bench for the Pacers, and scored 17 points to go along with six rebounds and three assists. Rodney Stuckey scored 15 points, while Roy Hibbert had a nice double-double with 11 points and 13 rebounds. C.J. Watson rounded out the double digit scorers for Indiana with 11 points, and also dished out eight assists.
Orlando big man Nikola Vucevic was the leading scorer on the night in the game, scoring 27 points. Former Indiana University star Victor Oladipo scored 18 points, while Tobias Harris scored 11 points and grabbed eight rebounds off of the bench. The only other player in double figures for the Magic was Elfrid Payton, who scored 10 points to go along with eight assists.
Needless to say, this was a big win for the Pacers moving forward. They needed to get some confidence back after the long losing streak, and this was a game that should do that for them.
Next up for the Pacers is a tough game against the Toronto Raptors on Tuesday night, back at home in Bankers Life Fieldhouse.
