Paul George Tweet Hints At March Comeback
By Evan Massey
Paul George suffered a horrific broken leg this past summer while playing in a scrimmage game for Team USA, but has been working hard in rehab and could be getting close to a return. He tweeted out what could be a hint at his targeted return date, and if that is the case he would be returning in March.
Coming back from that type of an injury so fast is a testimony to just how hard George worked in rehab. He kept his head up and made it clear that he wanted to come back from the injury better than before. It is an exciting piece of news for the Indiana Pacers fan base, especially after the down season that the team has been suffering through.

It will be interesting to see when he does end up hitting the court, especially because he hasn’t been able to play basketball or keep his cardio up with the broken leg. There is a major difference in being cleared to play and being in NBA shape.
Assuming he is able to get back on the practice court and test his leg while going full speed while also getting his legs and conditioning under him, then it would be wise to get him on the court this year. Getting his confidence back this season at the end of the year would be crucial for his early season success next year. The last thing the Pacers want to do is let him go a full offseason without getting legitimate court action in.
Indiana has struggled mightily without their star player this year, and it has been made obvious just how important he was for them.
Looking ahead to next year, George should be back to his superstar self. George was poised to have a huge breakout season this year, and was getting recognition from players like Kevin Durant and James Harden on Team USA.
There hasn’t been a lot of excitement surrounding the Pacers this season, but that tweet reignited quite a few fans.
