#1 DeMarco Murray

The ultimate “crown jewel” running back option for the Colts would be DeMarco Murray. Murray led the NFL this season in rushing with 1,845 yards, and 13 rushing touchdowns. Now a free agent, it has been rumored that the Cowboys are prepared to make a $4 million offer to this seasons league leading rusher, but rumor has it that Murray is holding out for more. If  Jerry Jones and his star running back are unable to come to terms, it would certainly seem that Indianapolis would be an attractive destination, provided they still have the money to spend.

Should the Colts determine they want to enter the DeMarco Murray sweepstakes, it’s almost inevitable that it will become a bidding war for the pro bowl back.  The question is, will Murray follow the money, or opt for a slightly smaller payday with a franchise capable of making a Super Bowl run.
