Pacers Pull Off Huge 103-99 Win Over Cavaliers
By Evan Massey
Indianapolis, IN – The Indiana Pacers haven’t always looked like a legitimate playoff contender, but that changed this evening as they played a complete game to knock off LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers. Cleveland was on a 12-game winning streak heading into tonight’s game, and not many gave the Pacers a chance to knock them off.
It wasn’t necessarily the prettiest game that the Pacers have played this year, but they played hard all night long and only turned the basketball over eight times throughout the entire game.
C.J. Miles was the leading scorer for the Pacers with 26 points, and nailed 4-10 from behind the three-point arc. He is without a doubt the teams most lethal scorer, and it is difficult for opposing teams to slow him down when he is on. David West also played a strong game for the Pacers with 20 points to go along with 13 rebounds.

George Hill once again put up a great performance, and is proving this year why there was so much hype surrounding him in the offseason. He scored 20 points and dished out seven assists, and made 12-15 from the foul line. Solomon Hill came up with a solid game scoring 11 points, while Roy Hibbert scored 10 points to go along with eight rebounds.
Cleveland was led in scoring by point guard Kyrie Irving, who put up 29 points on 13-26 shooting. LeBron James wasn’t too far behind him, scoring 25 points to go along with six rebounds, five assists, and an unfortunate seven turnovers. Indiana had an excellent game plan against James tonight, and they frustrated him all night long.
J.R. Smith had another solid game for the Cavaliers, putting up 17 points and nailing five three-point shots. Timofey Mozgov was the only other double digit scorer tonight for Cleveland, scoring 13 points to go along with nine rebounds.
With the win, the Pacers improved to 19-32 on the season and inched closer to playoff positioning. They are looking much better the last two games, and with Paul George eyeing a March return, they could be a very solid playoff team if they can get in.
Next up for the Pacers is Sunday evening matchup with Lance Stephenson and the Charlotte Hornets on the road.
