Biggest Disappointment – Roy Hibbert

I hate to be one to pile on Roy Hibbert, but he just hasn’t lived up to expectations. At times Hibbert shows flashes of dominance, but more often than not is the poster boy of inconsistency.

The trouble with Hibbert’s up and down play, is the fact that he’s a max contract player. In fact Roy is one of the top 25 paid players in the NBA (a moment of silence please).

This was to be the year for Hibbert to be the man. It was his chance to get the touches he has often griped about. The offense would run through him. Hibbert has answered to the tone of 11 points and 7 rebounds a game, which is pretty much what he has averaged his entire 7-year career.

Though those numbers aren’t terrible, it’s not what you want out of your max contract center.
