Stuckey Shines in Pacers’ Huge Victory Over Warriors
After injuring his left ankle Friday night in a win against the Philadelphia 76ers, any doubt of guard Rodney Stuckey’s health was put to rest Sunday night.
His health was evidently good enough to give the Pacers the 104-98 victory over the Golden State Warriors, who had the NBA’s best record leading up to the game, at 43-9.

Warriors guard, and MVP candidate Steph Curry was a last-second scratch due to right ankle soreness.
Although the Warriors were out of their best player to support the backcourt, his absence can’t take anything away from how big of a win this was for the Pacers, who have won six of their last seven games and are in a desperate chase for that final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.
After one quarter, the Warriors were showing everyone why they’re the best team in the NBA, scoring 38 first-quarter points.
But it was all Pacers (with a little dose of Rodney Stuckey) that Indiana would hand Golden State in the remaining three quarters of the game, outscoring the Warriors 78-60 to secure the victory.
Rodney Stuckey had himself another career night coming off the bench with the Pacers, scoring 30 points yet again, whilst shooting 11/17 from the field in 28 minutes of playing time.
Stuckey had a performance for himself, but the true nod came from C.J. Miles late in the game, hitting a crucial three-pointer assisted by David West with 26.5 seconds left on the clock to put Indiana up by four and ultimately secure the team the victory.
Indiana is now just one game behind the Brooklyn Nets for the East’s eighth playoff spot. The victory also gave Indiana their sixth win in the month of February.
The Pacers travel to Oklahoma City to take on the Thunder Tuesday night.
