Final. 98. 100. 117. 81

After having their seven-game win streak snapped against the Boston Celtics on Saturday night the Indiana Pacers were looking to turn things around against the recently struggling Raptors.

That wasn’t the case however, as Indiana would go on to lose the game in front of the home-crowd by a score of 117-89.

There were many factors that contributed to the loss, mostly being the Pacers‘ horrendous night of 2-19 from 3-point range.

Or maybe also the fact that Toronto was making just about every shot that they took, shooting 52% from beyond the arc and making 81% of their free throws.

Raptors guard Kyle Lowry recorded his 7th triple-double of his career with 20 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists. DeMar DeRozan was the leading scorer of the night for Toronto with 22 points on 6/19 shooting from the floor.

When the Pacers appeared to be struggling, George Hill and Rodney Stuckey appeared to be the only bright spots. They scored 23 and 20 points respectively.

More from Ink on Indy

The sole Pacers highlight of the night came when Lou Williams became the victim of a perfectly executed George Hill crossover near the baseline for the score.

Whenever the Pacers seemed to close the gap on the score, the Raptors would have an answer and Indy couldn’t seem to get a groove going all game.

With the loss the Pacers are now in jeopardy of falling out of the playoff race, as they are in a 3-way tie with Miami and Boston (whom are the 8th and 9th seeded teams) with each team sitting at a record of 30-36.

With the regular season coming to an end within the next month, It’ll be hard to tell who will represent the Eastern Conference as the 7th and 8th seeded teams.

The Pacers look to keep their playoff hopes alive Wednesday night as they travel to Chicago to take on Pau gasol and the Bulls.
