Pacers Drop Must-Win Game to Nets
The Indiana Pacers were on the road in Brooklyn Tuesday night for a showdown with the Nets. Despite a 39-point second quarter, their 18-point first quarter deficit was too much to overcome and the Pacers fell to the Brooklyn Nets 111-106.
Indiana, for the eleventh time in twelve games, the Pacers trailed after the first quarter, this time by a score of 33-15 to a Nets team that Indiana needed to beat. In short, the Pacers lost a must-win game due to yet another awful opening quarter.
The Pacers were led in scoring by George Hill who racked up 28 in the loss. David West finished with 14 points, 6 boards, and 6 assists. Luis Scola and C.J. Watson led the way off the pine with 13 points apiece.

Indiana played quite well for 3 of the 4 quarters, but their atrocious start was too much to overcome against a Nets team who are also fighting for the final playoff spot.
Indiana now trails the 9th-seeded Boston Celtics by a game, and trails the now 8th-seeded Brooklyn Nets by a game and half.
