Pacers Thrash Hornets; Keep Playoff Hopes Alive
The Indiana Pacers hosted the Charlotte Hornets on Friday night in a game that had to be won if Indiana wanted to hold on to what little playoff hope they had left. The Pacers absolutely dismantled the Charlotte Hornets 93-74.
While Charlotte showed fight early on, the Pacers defense was far too much for the Hornets to overcome. The Pacers used defensive power dominantly in the second and third quarters to hold the Hornets to 74 points, including 13 in the second quarter and just nine in the third.

The Pacers were led in scoring by Rodney Stuckey, who racked up 15 off the pine. C.J. Watson finished with 13 points and C.J. Miles had 12 of the starters’ 33 points. The Indiana bench played very well, posting 60 points in the victory.
After Friday’s victory, Indiana now stands in the Eastern Conference’s 10th position. With six regular-season games remaining, Indiana trails the 8th-seeded Miami Heat by 1.5 games. It will essentially take a miracle for Indiana to sneak into the playoffs, but stranger things have happened in the NBA.
