Kenneth Faried – Denver Nuggets

I mentioned Faried, as a Hibbert trade target, a few weeks back and I still think he makes a lot of sense. Faried is only 25 years old, and the deal really comes down to whether he still fits in Denver’s future plans.

The Nuggets hired new head coach Mike Malone, who may have a different view of Faried than previous head coach Brian Shaw. “The Manimal” was tamed to only 27 minutes a game last year, while averaging 12 points and 9 rebounds per game.

Kenneth Faried’s high energy style, and nose for getting rebounds, would fit in really well with the new uptempo pace that Indiana wants to play. Faried’s contract would fit as well, since he’s due $11.2 million this year.

While Faried’s contract could fit into the potential cap room of the Pacers, he does have four years left on his deal, so the Pacers better hope he fits long term.

Ultimately it takes two to tango, so a deal would likely come down to the Nuggets stance on Faried, and what they may want in return.
