Pacers Trade Damjan Rudez to Minnesota for Chase Budinger

The Pacers have officially added Chase Budinger to their roster as part of their offseason overhaul. On Saturday, July 11th another #wojbomb was dropped by Yahoo! NBA Insider Arian Wojnarowski as the Pacers contacted the Minnesota Timberwolves and expressed interest in Chase Budinger. The price of acquiring Budinger was 29-year old Damjan Rudez.
Minnesota is nearing agreement on a trade to send Chase Budinger to the Indiana Pacers, league sources tell Yahoo Sports.

As part of the Budinger deal, Indiana will send forward Damjan Rudez to Minnesota, league sources said. Deal should be finalized today.

The trade was an unexpected move that has left many Pacers fans asking, why? I will get to that later, but relax Pacers fans Larry Bird has made the right decision for the team heading into the 2015-16 season and you will soon see why.
