In Terms of Cash T.Y. Hilton is Extremely Underpaid
Consider the total cash anticipated for the Colts wide receivers. according to According to Spotrac.com, T.Y Hilton will make the 3rd most total cash at his position among the Colts wide receivers group. This year he will make the same pay as wide receivers Andre Holmes, Chris Givens and Mohamed Sanu. Not exactly the kind of money a pro-bowl WR, nor an NFL #1 receiver expects to make.
Indianapolis brought in free agent Andre Johnson to replace Reggie Wayne. He will make $7.5 million in 2015. Colts first-round draft pick Phillip Dorsett – a carbon copy of Hilton – whose rookie contract earns him $4.6 million in total cash in 2015. Hilton, a third-round pick in 2012 will only make $1.5 million in the final year of his rookie deal. To sum it up T.Y Hilton is statistically a top-10 receiver, the primary receiving target for Andrew Luck and will only make the 3rd most cash among the team’s wide receivers group.
