Chuck Pagano Has Something to Prove This Year
By Dave McKee
Chuck Pagano has beaten cancer, coached the Colts to three straight 11-5 seasons, and become fixture in the community, but is he on the hot seat in 2015?
Chuck Pagano may have the most to prove out of any member of the Indianapolis Colts organization despite all of his recent success. He is entering a contract year and has yet to receive an extension. NFL Insider Ian Rapoport reported back in March that he was not likely to receive an extension prior to the season. With all of the Colts’ success since 2012 it seems unthinkable that the Colts have not already acted to secure their future.

Maintaining continuity is a privilege in the modern NFL and is a trait that very few organizations can claim to have. Luke Adams of Pro Football Rumors lists Pagano as the 18th longest tenured coach in the NFL after only 3 seasons. Bill Belichick (Patriots), Marvin Lewis (Bengals) and Tom Coughlin (Giants) are at the head of the list and are the only coaches who have remained with their team for more than 10 years.
