Why not sign Anthony Collins who has experience at both tackle positions?

For whatever reason, if none of the previous candidates are signed perhaps the Colts could consider 7-year veteran Anthony Collins.

Why? he is only 29-years old and has experience starting at left tackle and right tackle. Collins started his career with the Cincinnati Bengals as the third tackle rotating in behind the starters.

The Indianapolis Colts have an affinity for players who can play multiple positions. With Mewhort, Herremans and Reitz are all on the roster for their touted flexibility. Having another tackle with starters experience is a plus.

He could step in at either tackle position and even slide into a guard’s role could be beneficial for both parties. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers released him after the NFL Draft.

The buyout for his release already guarantees him $3 million this season, perhaps he too could sign on a minimum deal for a chance at a Super Bowl ring.
