Indiana College Football: A Game for Each Week
October 3: Univ. of Indianapolis v. Truman State
The University of Indianapolis hosts conference rivals Truman State in an opportunity to see the Greyhounds in the first weekend of October. UIndy won last year’s matchup with Truman State in a wire-to-wire matchup that saw the Greyhounds come out on top, 23-20.
This season, Truman State is the second conference opponent scheduled for UIndy after Southwest Baptist, and like Butler the week before this is Homecoming weekend for the Greyhounds making this game that much more significant.
October 10: Taylor v. Marian
Taylor hosts Marian University in this early October matchup, and after suffering a walloping loss last season the Trojans have this one marked on their calendars as a chance for redemption.
Despite having home advantage, Taylor were unable to match the power of Marian in a 55-14 loss in November of last year, but behind a strengthened defense and First-Team Preseason All-American DB Adam Sauder the Trojans are already looking to improve on last season’s 5-6 record.
The Trojans host Marian again this year and will be coming off a road trip to St. Louis to face Missouri Baptist University in a non-conference matchup.
