A Blue-and-White Alert has been issued: The Injury Bug is spreading rampantly in Anderson – most diagnoses are mild for now.

Kevin Bowen of Colts.com provided the details of the injury report at the halfway mark of training camp:

"The following players did not participate in Sunday’s practice: Robert Mathis (Achilles) andDonald Thomas (quad). Both players are on the PUP list (can be removed from that list at anytime). Inside linebacker Nate Irving (knee) continues to sit out as he recovers from a 2014 ACL surgery. Running back Vick Ballard (hamstring) sat out Saturday’s practice and remains day-to-day. Running back Josh Robinson (soreness) sat out on Sunday and is also day-to-day. Rookie offensive tackle Denzelle Good did not practice due to a shoulder injury. He should return on Monday or Wednesday (Tuesday is an off day). The following players either missed Sunday’s practice or left early: wide receiver Duron Carter (groin), cornerback Darius Butler (groin), cornerback Vontae Davis (groin), tight end Justin Sinz (ankle), inside linebacker Junior Sylvestre (hamstring), Andre Johnson(rest), D’Qwell Jackson (rest), Henoc Muamba (rest), Bjoern Werner (rest) andJeris Pendleton (rest). Center Jonotthan Harrison and defensive tackle Kelcy Quarles were sent to the locker room following a scuffle."

Honorable Mentions

With the focus on red-zone and short yardage execution over the weekend and on Monday, there have been many highlights from Saturday through Monday. However, the most notable plays have come from two relatively unknown Colts who are vying for a roster spot at wide receiver and cornerback.

Wide receiver Quan Bray is turning heads in a competition with Griff Whalen, and Vincent Brown for that final roster spot at wide receiver. The talent is so deep at the position that the idea of the Indianapolis Colts keeping six receivers is widely accepted.

Cornerback Jalil Brown has equally turned heads on the defensive side of the ball and is solidifying his shot for the fifth cornerback position with five interceptions in camp. Pagano has praised him during press conferences as one of the guys who sticks out.
