A look into the AFC, which teams did the Ink on Indy staff pick to be crowned with their respective AFC division titles?

AFC East:

It’s the Patriots. As much as I hate Tom Brady and the New England Patriots, they always seem to be in the Colts way to the Super Bowl. Had Brady’s suspension been upheld, this could be a different story. However, the NFL continues to reward cheating, so Brady is back week 1, and the Pats are back atop the AFC East. Take it from me, we all wanted to pick Miami or Buffalo, but in the end – with all bias aside – we all agreed on this one:

Andrew Turpen – @ATplace2be: New England barely squeaks one out over the Bills this year.

Kevin Siskin – @JaydotSiskinNew England Patriots

Scott Stewart – @Scostew: New England Patriots

Dave McKee – @TheDaveMcKee: New England Patriots… Even with their weakened defense.

AFC North:

I’m picking the Steelers. I think the Bengals finally come back Earth with mediocre Andy Dalton at quarterback. The Ravens will be better, but the Steelers are the team to beat. If Big Ben stays healthy, the trio of Roethlisberger, Antonio Brown, and Le’Veon Bell will be enough to win the AFC North.

Andrew Turpen – @ATplace2be: Pittsburgh Steelers

Kevin Siskin – @JaydotSiskin:  Baltimore Ravens

Scott Stewart – @Scostew: Pittsburgh Steelers

Dave McKee – @TheDaveMcKee: Pittsburgh Steelers win a tie-breaker with Baltimore or Cincinnati.

AFC South:

Ink on Indy has spoken. This one is a unanimous decision. The Indianapolis Colts will win the AFC South. Indy is still the cream of the crop in the division. Other than the Kerry Collins/Curtis Painter year, the Colts have been pretty much a lock to win the AFC South each year. Yes, the Texans have J.J. Watt, but they don’t have Arian Foster for the first half of the season, nor a quarterback that worries NFL defenders. Colts win the south by a lot.

Andrew Turpen – @ATplace2be: Indianapolis Colts

Kevin Siskin – @JaydotSiskinIndianapolis Colts

Scott Stewart – @ScostewIndianapolis Colts

AFC West:

This was another easy choice. This could be Peyton Manning‘s last ride with the Broncos, and in the NFL in general. I expect Peyton to keep the Broncos atop the AFC West one more year, and give himself one more chance at that second Super Bowl victory. Eventually Andy Reid‘s Chiefs will challenge the Broncos, but not with Peyton on the field this year.
