Indianapolis Colts Predictions for Weeks 9 – 13

31. 46. 28. 45. Final

Peyton Manning returns to Indianapolis in what many are expecting to be his final appearance at Lucas Oil Stadium, barring a playoff appearance. The Colts are 2-1 against Manning and the Broncos since 2012. This game will end in a shootout. Despite the threat Manning brings with his offense, Luck will extend his winning streak to 3 against Manning and their overall record to 3-1 against the Broncos. Colts win 31-28 (9-0).

Week 10 – Bye Week

46. Final. 28. 44. 27

The Colts have historically had issues with winning following a bye week. So, now it’s time for the trap game. It is almost impossible to go perfect in the regular season. Not a lot of people are talking about the Falcons and quarterback Matt Ryan right now, but their offense is trending back up and this will be an important home game for the Falcons if they want to make the playoffs. Atlanta will have a playmaker from IU on the field in running back Tevin Coleman who could make an impact in this game with the Colts focused on stopping the Falcons passing attack with Julio Jones and Roddy White on the field. Falcons win a nail-biter 28-27 (9-1).

46. 9. 48. Final. 41

The Buccaneers are in the building phase under coach Lovie Smith. They ahve the number one pick Jameis Winston at quarterback, but not near enough weapons to allow Winston to make the difference in this match up. If there is ever the potential for a blow-out game on the schedule, this is it. It has all the necessary components for a high-scoring affair for the Colts. This is especially true if they are coming off their first loss of the season. Colts win handily 41-9 (10-1)

55. 31. 46. Final. 34

Pittsburgh has been a thorn in the side of the Colts ever since the 90’s. Ben Roethlisberger has a potent offensive attack with Antonio Brown, Martavis Bryant and running back Le’Veon Bell. They feature a young defense that should be much improved by midseason. If this was a home game, I like the Colts in the matchup, but they struggle when playing the Steelers on the road. The Colts go 2-2 through this four game stretch and lose to Pittsburgh 34-31 (10-2).
