Andrew Luck is hurt. According to team medical reports, it’s a nonspecific right shoulder injury. That is his throwing arm folks and that’s not good. It’s surprising it took this long for people to notice. Now he will not play against Jacksonville.

Andrew Luck could hardly stand up straight and winced frequently during the postgame press conference. This was immediately after the Colts rallied to beat Tennessee. Yet no one realized he was hurt until Monday or Tuesday? Forget the GIF image of Luck grimacing when Matt Hasselbeck patted him on the chest. That did not surface until Monday.

It was obvious that Andrew Luck was hurting during the postgame press conference. During the Colts fourth quarter rally to beat the Titans, Luck looked fine, but adrenaline plays a huge factor in a player’s performance. It’s after the game, once the adrenaline has subsided that you see just how bad they hurt. Luck was in obvious pain. So much in fact that he was not his jovial Luck-self, instead he was quick to answer and looked ready to head straight to the training room.

Andrew Luck is injured and according to reports likely a game-time decision at best.

So Andrew Luck is hurt but it’s not anything severe, yet. No, not yet, but how much longer can he be expected to take this kind of punishment. Yes, he is young but, the amount of damage he has taken in three years will effectively shorten his career if he does not get some protection. As Mark Schlereth stated on ESPN, the play of the offensive lines across the NFL is horrendous. Perhaps a CBA amendment should be in order? We can’t have all of these franchise quarterbacks keep dropping like this. That’s bad for business right NFL & NFLPA reps? Sure Schlereth said the league-wide line play is awful. Then, he singled-out the Colts offensive line woes very telling and severely overdue terms.
