The Colts may be on the rise, but it’s hard to tell without Andrew Luck under center. Matt Hasselbeck lifted them to a win thanks in large part to his teammate on special teams Adam Vinatieri, but it’s tough to see the growth from a Colts perspective.
Indianapolis is one of the strangest cases in the NFL right now. Great QB, bowling ball RB, and a talented WR core, yet they are in the bottom 8 in rushing and are barely in the top half of the league in passing. The defense is still waiting for everyone to come back healthy, but they can only wait so long before they have to focus on the task at hand – in this case, Houston on Thursday Night Football.
Adam Schefter reported this morning that Matt Hasselbeck is set to start again as Luck misses a second straight week and just the second game of his career, so the Colts will have their work cut out for them.
Kickoff is slated for 8:25 pm ET tonight.
