3.  Purdue is 1-17 in Big Ten play since Darrell Hazell took over as head coach

Hazell’s coaching stint with Purdue has been abysmal, especially against Big Ten competition. 5-25 overall with a 1-17 Big Ten record, the worst 30-game record by any Purdue coach. Against Wisconsin, Purdue is 0-2 and has been outscored 75-26. What does this mean? That Hazell has no idea how to coach against talented teams and that won’t change come Saturday.

4. David Blough will remain under center for Purdue

After a near heroic performance in his first collegiate start against Bowling Green, Blough has regressed well past the mean. Against Bowling Green, Blough went 29-of-39 for 340 yards, two touchdowns and an interception. In the two games afterwards – both Big Ten games – Blough has combined to go 36-of-80 for 343 yards, two touchdowns and four interceptions. Wisconsin has given up only 1,047 passing yards this season, so it’s hard to see Blough “turning things around” against the Badgers secondary.
