Week 6: Colts DraftKings Player Values
By Mathew Muncy
The Indianapolis Colts welcome long-time rival New England Patriots to Luca Oil Stadium this weekend and their DraftKings player values reflect that.
The Colts and Patriots squared off in the AFC Championship game, which ended with one of the biggest sports stories of 2015: Deflategate. Now, on October 18th, we get to see the much-anticipated matchup that’s been brewing since January 18, 2015.

What could have been Patriots quarterback Tom Brady‘s first game back, will now be his fifth of the season, and Brady and company have been nothing other than dominant. Now they get to take on the team that accused them of cheating, a team that has looked very mediocre this season and has an injured quarterback.
This isn’t shaping up to be a fun game for the Colts or their fans, but crazier things have happened.

When it comes to playing Colts players in your
lineup, this week definitely makes it a bit tough. While you can look at one or two players having a decent enough performance to match their salary, you just never know which ones it will be – I’m looking at you,
. Nevertheless, here are the DraftKings player values for the Indianapolis Colts.
Play them this week at your own risk.
Quarterback – Andrew Luck ($7,600) and Matt Hasselbeck ($5,100)
Playing either quarterback is risky this week. Andrew Luck isn’t 100 percent healthy and Matt Hasselbeck is not projected as the starter. But if you decide to be ballsy, then roll with Luck in your lineup as the Patriots’ defense is not great against quarterbacks. They’ve given up 22.0 points to Ben Roethlisberger, 29.0 to Tyrod Taylor and 17.4 to Blake Bortles. If Luck plays and doesn’t throw interception after interception, then he could put up respectable numbers, but it’s hard to judge how much his injury will hinder him.

Running Back – Frank Gore ($4,900)
Your only option at running back this week for the Colts is Frank Gore as Ahmad Bradshaw has not been added to their team on DraftKings yet. Gore had a solid outing against the Houston Texans last week – 15.8 points – and the Patriots have given up 10-plus fantasy points to three out of the four running backs they’ve faced this year. If Luck’s injury is a hindrance, you can expect Gore to get around 20 carries for the second straight week.
Wide Receiver – T.Y. Hilton ($6,500), Donte Moncrief ($5,000), and Andre Johnson ($4,300)
Did anyone else forget Andre Johnson was even on the team? Well, he showed up last week against his former team, the Houston Texans, and scored two touchdowns – his first and second of the season. He’s now scored two more touchdowns than T.Y. Hilton this year.
Despite having zero touchdowns, Hilton still remains a solid play in fantasy as he put up three straight games of 13-plus points. Donte Moncrief was left out last week, recording one catch for three yards. That was his worst outing of the season, by a long shot, so look for him to bounce back this week against a bad Patriots’ secondary. And for Johnson, well his performance is either non-existent or ultra-sleeper worthy. Maybe last week will jump-start his season, but hard to tell with the very limited body of work so far.
Tight End – Coby Fleener ($3,000) and Dwayne Allen ($2,900)
Coby Fleener has upside with the Patriots allowing seven-plus points to Tight Ends each week, but Dwayne Allen could easily steal his thunder with a red zone touchdown. Either one could be a high risk-high reward play.
Defense – Colts D/ST ($2,500)
No. Just no.
Gore and Hilton are solid choices this week, with Luck being a risky play with great upside. Everyone else you will pay less for, with a smaller ownership percentage and just hoping a touchdown breaks their way.
