The Pacers
Indiana comes into tonight on the back of a thrashing over Philadelphia, but without George Hill again all eyes will be on how things pan out tonight.
Chase Budinger will reportedly start for Indiana with Hill out of the rotation, and Rodney Stuckey is also available for this evening’s contest after missing the last couple of game with an ankle injury.
Tonight, though, will again be about Pacers MVP candidate Paul George. George has been fantastic since Indiana has risen from a 0-3 grave, averaging nearly 29 points while crashing the boards and working hard defensively. George will go against either Antetokounmpo or Parker tonight, and will hope to produce similar figures as his recent games.
The Bucks
Milwaukee has had an on-again-off-again start without Jabari Parker fully healthy all season. Like the Pacers, the Bucks started out 0-3 but scrapped away to win their next four straight. However, unlike Indiana, Milwaukee has lost four out of five since and will look to rebound this evening.
Still plenty talented, the Bucks are led in scoring by Giannis Antetokounmpo, who is netting over 18 points and 8 boards a game, and are led on the floor by point guard Michael Carter-Williams. Along with Parker, it makes for one of the best young trios in the Eastern Conference.
The biggest questions about the Bucks still loom, however. Will Parker make a full leap in his return and back his already high potential? Can Greg Monroe work his style better into Jason Kidd‘s Bucks? These will not be answered this evening necessarily, but will be a point for the Bucks down the road.
Next: Has Jamaal Charles Lost a Step?
A win will keep Indiana marching forward as the end of the first month of the season draws nearer, and Pacers fans will want nothing more than for Paul George to explode off the season and continue his red-hot streak.
Tipoff for tonight set for 7 pm ET.
