The Indiana Pacers were embarrassed by the Toronto Raptors Friday night by a score of 101-85. The Raptors now lead the series 2-1.

The Indiana Pacers showed no effort in their loss against the Raptors on Friday, showing those that were watching why they are the seventh seed in the Eastern Conference.

Paul George lead the Pacers in scoring with 25 points as well as 10 rebounds and six assists. Rookie Myles Turner added 17 points, eight rebounds and three blocks to the bunch.

Indiana shot 38.2 percent from the field and an abysmal 27.3 percent from the three-point line in game 3. C.J. Miles continued to be a non-factor in the series, shooting zero-for-three from deep, his only field goal attempts in game three.

The Pacer’s sole lead of the game came at the very start, when the team went up three points thanks to a three-pointer from George Hill. It was the first and last time throughout the game that they would find themselves ahead of the East’s second-best team.

In the press conference following yesterday’s loss, Paul George shared his thoughts on Indiana’s play so far this series. “We’re not being the physical team right now,” George said.

George would be correct with his choice of words to describe the Pacer’s efforts as of late. Jonas Valanciunas  has been a nightmare for the Pacers the entire series, especially on the glass. He continued his rebounding dominance last night as he grabbed a game-high 14 rebounds.

It was also only a matter of time before both Kyle Lowry and DeMar DeRozan would play like the all-star caliber players that they were during the regular season. The two players combined for 42 points in Toronto’s game three victory.

Even though the Pacers stole game one in Toronto last Saturday, the team and fans alike have every reason to panic heading into game four. If the Pacers fail to show up and lose their second-straight at home then you can all but wrap this series up for the Pacers.

The team’s biggest flaw thus far this series has been the inability for the bench to produce much, if anything. There also hasn’t been much of anything from anyone else this series except Paul George, Monta Ellis and occasionally Myles Turner.

As stated multiple times, if the Pacers wish to have any chance at making a first-round upset over the Raptors, then the team’s core players need to be firing on all cylinders.
