BREAKING: Arthur Jones Suspended Four Games for Violating NFL PED Policy
Indianapolis Colts defensive lineman Arthur Jones has reportedly been suspended for the first four games of 2016 for violating the league’s performance enhancing drugs policy.
The Indianapolis Colts will be without defensive lineman Arthur Jones for the first part of the 2016 season.
This is a major blow to Jones’s chances at remaining with the team — especially given the fact that he has appeared in nine total games since signing with the Colts as a free agent from the Baltimore Ravens in 2014.
Jones suffered an achilles injury during the Colts’ preseason in 2015 — effectively ending his season before it had even started.
There has been a good deal of speculation considering as to whether or not Jones will even make it past training camp given his inconsistency and injury history since signing with the Colts on a five-year, $33 million deal before the 2014 season.
This is not only a massive blow to Jones, but to the Colts’ defense as a whole. While it’s unclear whether or not Jones would have made the roster or even remained healthy through the season, the Colts need all of the help that they can get on defense — so his suspension certainly does not help very much.
