The NFL Combine has concluded and the NFL Free Agency is just around the corner. However, there is some time to re-evaluate who the Indianapolis Colts will take in the upcoming 2017 NFL Draft.

As a reminder for all, the Colts have seven picks in the upcoming draft. Their specific positions in the draft order was also established after they loss a coin toss to the Minnesota Vikings.

As a result, they have the 15th overall pick and will pick in a similar spot in every round. Also, they do not have a seven round pick, but received a fourth round compensatory pick.

Overall, the Colts’ need have not really changed. The majority of their problems reside on the defense.

There were some key news nuggets that have come out over the past weeks that could affect their draft strategy. Jack Doyle wants to test free agency, and Mike Adams is not coming back.

In general, there are not many reports of the Colts trying to re-sign their free agents. The team will likely be active during the free agency period, but their biggest acquisitions will likely be from the draft.

With that in mind, time to get into this mock draft. With their first round pick, Indianapolis will address their defensive issues by taking a pass rusher.
